Welcome to Agrimontana
From the land to the laboratory to the table, a supply chain spanning more than fifty years
We treat the fruits of nature with respect
Our company selects and processes the fruits of nature to make them available to pastry shops, restaurants, hotels, ice cream parlors, and consumers who create, enjoy, and love products of the highest quality. We produce jams, purées and candied fruit, chestnuts, nuts, chocolate, and honey. Our products are available in packaging for professional use and for everyday consumption. Same quality, same raw materials.
We also share our expertise to create new products together with selected partners. Agrimontana continues to grow thanks to its people: technical and commercial collaborators, agricultural entrepreneurs, growers, suppliers, professionals who use our products, masters who help us work on innovation, and those who enjoy and use in their creations the work of a supply chain of outstanding quality.
At the heart of a family
In a world where technology and innovation have become essential elements for every company, we do not forget the value of commitment and dedication that only a business deeply rooted in family ties can provide.
Founded more than fifty years ago through the initiative of Cesare Bardini, the small artisanal candied fruit workshop of the early days has grown into the company we know today, still led by the founder’s descendants.

Roots and territory
Agrimontana was founded in southern Piedmont, an area rich in natural resources and deeply rooted in a long-standing tradition of respect for the environment.
A territory that preserves deep knowledge in the processing of nature’s fruits—from chestnuts to apricots to hazelnuts—which have long been part of the region’s gastronomic and agricultural tradition.
Our values

Territory and origins
Quality begins with the selection of raw materials: we choose products that represent the purest expression of themselves and of the land they come from, paying close attention to ethical and sustainable farming and ensuring harvest at the optimal level of ripeness.

We work with the greatest artisan of all: nature
Our work is to preserve and enhance the quality inherent in the raw material. We personally select, study, understand, and protect our ingredients. This is the case with our experimental chestnut grove, where we have planted six different chestnut varieties—50 trees in total—to assess their growth and evolution over time. A living laboratory we care for daily, following the rhythm of the seasons.
We work closely with growers to ensure the best possible raw materials. All necessary quality controls are carried out in-house so that every fruit meets our standards. We reject any production shortcut that could compromise original organoleptic qualities.
The entire organoleptic value chain of our products is directly certified by us.

Fine cuisine
Copper, with its conductive and hygienic properties, is the reference alloy in the gastronomic world and symbolizes the technical rigor we apply.
We were among the first Italian companies to renounce preservation with sulfites and anything that could alter or adulterate the product or its original characteristics.
We work using the same methods and processes employed in the kitchens of the finest restaurants.

People and family
Agrimontana is a second-generation company, but we are like a family: Cesare Bardini instilled his vision into the company and passed it on to his brother Enrico, responsible for Agrimontana’s vision in Italy and abroad, to his children Chiara, guardian of taste and philosophy, Luigi, the commercial and financial driving force, and to all collaborators.
We pass down the care and attention of our origins from parent to child. We believe that people come before skills, and that respect for ingredients cannot exist without equal respect among those who work within the company, those who use our products, or those who simply enjoy them.

Technology
We rely on our technical expertise in analysis and control to ensure safety, gentle processing, and proper preservation, so our products are always as if freshly made.
Our technological resources allow us to ensure consistently high-quality raw materials, correct sugar management during processing, and full control of the fruit’s biological cycle and its transformations during processing and storage, making a decisive contribution to high-quality craftsmanship.
We also use IQF freezing (individually quick frozen) to work with raw materials as if they were just harvested. We invest in research, convinced that there is always more to learn, improve, and explore.

Only a company that pursues the dream of offering the best of nature can attempt to capture spring and make it available every day of the year.
We are a company that gently safeguards the fruits of nature, relying on artisan skills supported by technology. We are committed to preserving original organoleptic qualities through clean processes, free from colorants, preservatives, and synthetic additives.
Candying, a traditional method of preservation using sugar, was our first preparation, followed by jams and other products—traditional or innovative—guided by naturalness and high quality.
Cultivating our history
Innovation and market presence rooted in quality cannot exist without solid experience. Our company has grown carefully, step by step, without haste, consistently cultivating respect for precision, attention to the growth of our collaborators, and love for our customers’ work.
The beginning
In April, Cesare Bardini impressed his vision of quality and excellence on a small artisanal candied fruit workshop in Roccavione, later moving it to the current site in Borgo San Dalmazzo: the name Eurocanditi became Azienda Agrimontana. Alongside the flagship product, the Candied Chestnut, candied orange cubes were introduced.
Jams
Candying expanded to other types of fruit, naturally leading to the production of jams and preserves.
Marron glacé
The products began gaining recognition among private consumers as well as professionals. During this period, the production of Marron Glacé began.
Agricacao
Today Agrimontana is a benchmark for pastry chefs, restaurateurs, and consumers seeking ingredients of the highest quality.

We have built a “home” for each of our areas of excellence. The specialization of each Agrimontana brand allows us to achieve very high quality standards while also creating synergies through a constant exchange of expertise and knowledge.
